Biography of Professor Ilgu Yun
Dr. Ilgu Yun received B.S. degree in electrical engineering from Yonsei University, Seoul, Korea, in 1990 and M.S. & Ph.D. degrees in electrical and computer engineering from Georgia Institute of Technology, Atlanta, GA, USA, in 1995 and 1997, respectively. He was previously a Research Fellow at the Microelectronics Research Center, Georgia Institute of Technology, during 1997 – 1999; a Senior Research Staff at the Electronics and Telecommunications Research Institute, Daejeon, Korea, during 1999 – 2000; and a Visiting Scholar at Department of Industrial and Manufacturing Engineering, University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee, Milwaukee, WI, USA, during 2006 – 2007. He is currently a Professor of electrical and electronic engineering at Yonsei University. Previously, he was Head of Electrical and Electronic Engineering Department, Associate Dean of International Affairs for College of Engineering, and Associate Dean of Development and Planning at Yonsei University. He also worked as the executive director of the Institute of Electronics and Information Engineers (IEIE) in South Korea. In addition, he was the organizing chair for International Technical Conference on Circuits/Systems, Computers and Communications (ITC-CSCC) 2017 and Korean Conference on Semiconductors (KCS) 2020. His research interests include material characterization, statistical (and nonlinear) modeling, device reliability and variations of semiconductor processes, devices, and IC modules and process modeling, control, and simulation applied to computer-aided manufacturing of integrated circuits. He holds more than 20 domestic/international patents, more than 200 International peer-review journals/conference papers, 2 book chapters, and served as editor for 2 books Prof. Yun is currently Educational Activity Chair in the IEEE Solid-State Circuits Society Seoul Chapter and an outside director of Silicon Works co. ltd., South Korea. |
