Biography of Professor Vito Puliafito
Dr. Vito Puliafito is Associate Professor of Electrical Engineering at the Politecnico di Bari (Italy) since June 2021. He received a degree in Electronic Engineering and a Ph.D. in Electromagnetic Modeling at the University of Messina (Italy) in 2007 and 2011, respectively. He was a visiting Ph.D. student at the University of Salamanca (Spain), and, later, a visiting researcher at the Bogazici University, Istanbul (Turkey), and at FORTH Hellas in Crete (Greece). From 2019 to 2021 he was an Assistant Professor at the University of Messina. His research interests include modeling magnetic materials at the nanoscale, spintronic applications, micromagnetics, novel approaches for computing. He has published more than 40 papers in international refereed journals. He is co-founder and vice-Director of Petaspin and a founding member of the IEEE Nanotechnology Council technical committee about Quantum, Neuromorphic and Unconventional Computing. He also served in technical and organization committees of several international conferences, as Guest Editor for Elsevier and as a reviewer of several IEEE, IOP, AIP, and Nature journals. |
